Hi, I’m Carmen, the mom behind WiggleSproutsKids and a homeschooling mom of two boys. I created WiggleSproutsKids from my own experience homeschooling my children and wanting learning to feel less like a checklist and more like something they could genuinely enjoy.

For me, homeschooling is about more than academics. It’s about having the freedom to slow down, follow my children’s interests, discover how they learn best, and be present for the little moments that go by far too quickly.

At WiggleSproutsKids, I share simple, engaging, and practical learning ideas for young children, including preschool and early elementary activities, unit studies, printables, sensory play, literacy and math activities, seasonal learning, and homeschool tips.

I especially love creating resources that make learning hands-on, meaningful, and fun without requiring parents to spend hours preparing.

Every Child Learns Differently

As a mom of two boys, I’ve learned that learning doesn’t look the same for every child. Children have different interests, personalities, strengths, and ways of understanding the world. That’s why I also share ideas for making learning more engaging for neurodivergent children and children who learn differently.

My goal isn’t to create a picture-perfect homeschool. It’s to help parents find simple ideas that fit their children and their real lives.

Why WiggleSproutsKids?

I homeschool because I want to invest my time in my children—to discover what they love, encourage their interests, and be present while they grow.

I believe childhood is about more than academics. It’s about reading together, asking questions, exploring, creating, playing, and making memories along the way.

WiggleSproutsKids is a little piece of our homeschooling journey, created to help other parents make learning at home easier, more intentional, and more fun.
